On March-3, Lithuanian Association for Traumatic Stress (LTPA) hosted their annual national psychotraumatology conference with a broad overview of historic and new insights into the field. The national expert speakers were joined by ESTSS representatives. Prof. Annett Lotzin shared her professional insights on the important topic of the connection between trauma and addiction. Prof. Dominic Murphy’s keynote presentation was on the understanding of moral injury. It was followed by dr. Joanne Mouthaan’s keynote “Advances in psychotrauma prevention: Towards an integrated system of learning and care”. Among the national presenters was dr. Odeta Gelezelyte (LTPA and Vilnius Center for Psychotraumatology), dr. Ieva Vaskeliene and Aina Adomaityte (Lithuanian Association for Psychologists), Asta Groblyte (Center for Coping with Crisis), and Egle Samuchovaite (Lithuanian Red Cross). The 11-th Vilnius Trauma Conference was also a special celebratory occasion, as 2023 marked 10-year anniversary of the Lithuanian Association for Traumatic Stress, LTPA, the 5-year anniversary of the Vilnius Centre for Psychotraumatology and the 30-year anniversary of ESTSS. The President of ESTSS dr. Joanne Mouthaan congratulated the organisers and participants during her anniversary speech. She also thanked prof. Evaldas Kazlauskas, former President of LTPA and ESTSS, for all the work during his presidency.
