Dear ESTSS members,
it is my pleasure to inform you that the new ESTSS Board of Directors has become operational at the beginning of this year. We would like to express our great gratitude to our past president, Vedat Sar, and all members of the outgoing board for their important work in the last years. They have very successfully mastered the transition of the ESTSS to an umbrella society with currently 13 European member societies and altogether 23 affiliated societies/organisations in Europe and around the world. In the last weeks, the new board has taken first measures to implement the priorities that have been defined for its term. Among these are to further improve services for ESTSS members and to facilitate the work of the ESTSS task forces, including a new task force that will focus on the needs of the many individuals that currently come to Europe to find safety from war and persecution. We will strive to carry forward the impressive development our professional society has made over the years and look forward to this task.
On behalf of the ESTSS Board of Directors,
with best regards,
Ingo Schäfer (President ESTSS)
