Dear ESTSS members,
On behalf of the ESTSS Board of Directors, I wish to express my gratitude and appreciation for all your dedication and hard work in the field of psychotraumatology.
For a large international society like ESTSS, it is not easy to stay connected for all of us, especially over the last two years due to the pandemic, with restricted travel and in-person meetings. However, times of global challenges reveal the importance of our work, research, clinical practice, dissemination, and contribution to policy making. The role of professional networks and research-based societies is becoming highly relevant and influential recently. The ESTSS has become stronger and larger over the last two years. Every ESTSS member’s contribution is highly valuable and serves the needs of society.
We are looking forward to the year 2023 with worry, but also with hope, that Russian War in Ukraine will end and we will be able to address the needs of traumatized populations across Europe and beyond.
The ESTSS Board of Directors, and ESTSS Bi-annual Belfast Conference co-chairs Prof. Cherie Armour and Prof. Dominic Murphy, are looking forward to meeting you all in Belfast in June 2023! In this inspiring meeting in Belfast we will celebrate the ESTSS 30th Anniversary together!
I wish you a relaxing Winter Holiday season, and all the best in the Year 2023!
Prof. Evaldas Kazlauskas
President of ESTSS (2021-2022)
