At the start of the year, 2022 ESTSS organized a winter series of webinars addressing various topics ranging from clinical practice innovations to trauma care training standards, all highly relevant to professionals interested in psychotraumatology.
The first webinar on intensive treatment for PTSD, chaired by Dr. Maria Bragesjö provided insights into intensive PTSD and complex PTSD psychological treatment. It raised important questions on the best approaches in treatment delivery in traumatized populations, such as online vs. in-person treatment comparisons weekly or daily sessions of therapy.
The second webinar chaired by the ESTSS President Prof. E.Kazlauskas addressed issues of trauma care quality in Europe. Experts from Italy and Germany presented the ESTSS approach in establishing high standards for trauma care via the ESTSS certification program.
The third webinar chaired by Dr. Joanna Mouthaan gathered the leading experts on trauma and journalism. A series of outstanding presentations by the speakers of this webinar raised concerns on traumatization and mental health of journalists in the context of aggression and threats outlining potential venues for future directions in providing psychosocial support for journalists.
Participants well regarded the ESTSS winter webinar series. Due to the high demand, ESTSS makes the webinar recordings available until the end of 2022.
