The ESTSS is an international, co-ordinating, umbrella organisation consisting of ESTSS Member and ESTSS Affiliate Societies.
Membership of either a Member Society or Affiliate Society entitles you to ESTSS membership, although individuals are also welcome to join directly. Please see below if your local or regional society is a part of the ESTSS family of Societies.

ESTSS Member Societies
ESTSS Member Societies have:
- objectives consistent with those of the ESTSS
- at least 20 members
- a membership open to all professional groups in the psychotraumatology field
- a formal agreement that the entire membership of the Member society will become members of ESTSS
- their own Society secretariat through which ESTSS information is passed on to their members
- an undertaking to pay a fee to the ESTSS for Member Society status
