Nancy Kassam-Adams has long been a leading advocate for FAIR data practices within the traumatic stress field, contributing through initiatives such as the Global Collaboration for Traumatic Stress FAIR Data Theme, the Child Trauma Data Archives, and the Trauma Data Institute.
Reflecting on the award, Nancy Kassam-Adams shared:

Making research data more accessible for re-use is crucial to advance science and practice to benefit trauma-impacted individuals and communities. We aimed to present a practical, systematic approach to safe and ethical data sharing, and we hope this work helps researchers and ethics bodies improve how data are shared.”

The award will be formally presented at the 19th ESTSS Conference, taking place 3–6 June 2027 in Coimbra, Portugal.
