Registration and abstract submission are now open for the 19th European Conference of the European Society for Traumatic Stress Studies, which will take place in Coimbra, Portugal, from 3 to 6 June 2027.
Under the theme “Talking About Trauma,” ESTSS 2027 will bring together researchers, clinicians, practitioners, policymakers and professionals from related disciplines to exchange knowledge and explore current developments in psychotraumatology. The conference will encourage dialogue across disciplines, connecting clinical and scientific perspectives with wider discussions of societal trauma, displacement, environmental crises, culture, the arts and the media.
Participants are invited to contribute to the scientific programme by submitting proposals for symposia, oral presentations, posters and flash talks. Submissions should reflect recent research, innovative clinical approaches, practical experience or interdisciplinary perspectives relevant to traumatic stress.
The deadline for abstract submission is 24 January 2027. Authors are encouraged to consult the submission guidelines carefully before submitting their proposals through the online platform.
Early Bird registration is also open, offering participants an opportunity to secure their place at a reduced rate. ESTSS members are eligible for preferential registration fees.
With its distinguished academic tradition and unique cultural setting, Coimbra will provide an inspiring location for the international psychotraumatology community to meet, reconnect and develop new collaborations. We warmly invite members of the ESTSS community and colleagues from around the world to join us in June 2027.
Further information about registration, abstract submission, the preliminary programme and accommodation is available on the ESTSS 2027 conference website.
Submit your abstract by 24 January 2027 and join us in Coimbra!
